This month’s Full Moon, occurring on June 10th, 2025 rises in the earthy, driven sign of Capricorn, illuminating the structures we've built, the goals we've been chasing, and—most importantly—how we define and relate to power and leadership in our lives.

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet of responsibility, long-term vision, discipline, and mastery. But here's the twist: Saturn is currently retrograde in Aries, the sign of the self, instinct, and initiative. This cosmic alignment is urging a collective pause and powerful internal reflection:

  • Where have we given our power away in the name of control, achievement, or external validation?

  • Have we been leading our lives—or just managing them to meet expectations that no longer align with who we are becoming?

Saturn Retrograde in Aries: A Check-In on Self-Leadership

With Saturn retrograde in the sign of the warrior, we’re being called to revisit the foundation of our identity and how we show up as leaders in our own lives. This isn't about dominance or rigid ambition—it’s about embodied, responsible self-leadership rooted in personal integrity and vision.

This lunation might surface feelings of frustration, fatigue, or pressure to “get it together.” You might find yourself questioning:

  • Why am I doing this?

  • Who am I trying to impress or prove myself to?

  • What does success actually mean to me now?

This Full Moon creates a powerful moment to reclaim sovereignty and get real about what is sustainable vs. what’s performative.

The Shadow of Capricorn: Control, Rigidity, & Authority Wounds

Capricorn energy can be deeply empowering—but when unbalanced, it leans into hyper-independence, suppression of emotion, and toxic productivity. Add in Saturn’s retrograde motion, and some of us may be confronting:

  • Wounds around authority figures or systems that made us feel powerless.

  • Burnout from doing it all alone or always being the responsible one.

  • The need to control outcomes to feel safe or successful.

If this resonates, know that the medicine of this moon is in releasing the outdated models of success and authority you’ve inherited and rewriting the rules from a place of self-trust and soul alignment.

Capricorn & Cronos: The Myth Behind the Mountain

To deepen our understanding of this lunation, let’s briefly revisit the mythology that lives within Capricorn’s archetype and its ruler, Saturn—known in Greek mythology as Cronos.

Cronos was the Titan god of time, order, and control. Obsessed with power and terrified of being overthrown by his children, he famously devoured them at birth—choosing control over connection, domination over trust. Eventually, his son Zeus rebelled, overthrew him, and the cycle of power shifted once again.

Capricorn, often symbolized by the Sea-Goat—half mountain goat, half fish—embodies the duality between ambition and emotion, earth and water, structure and soul. The goat climbs the highest peaks, but the fish tail reminds us we are just as much emotional, intuitive beings navigating the depths.

Together, the myth of Cronos and the symbol of Capricorn teach us this :

When we lead from fear and control, we destroy connection. When we honor time, self-discipline, and inner wisdom, we become conscious creators of legacy.

Full Moon Rituals & Reflections

Here are some intentional ways to work with this powerful Full Moon in Capricorn energy:

1. Write a "Power Audit"

Ask yourself:

  • Where in my life do I feel most powerful? Where do I feel powerless?

  • Am I stepping into leadership, or waiting for someone else to validate my choices?

  • What responsibilities are truly mine—and what can I release?

  • Where have we tried to control time instead of trust its unfolding?

  • Are we leading with fear of failure or from a foundation of integrity and soul vision?

2. Release Perfectionism

Burn or bury a list of perfectionistic standards, unrealistic expectations, or outdated success metrics you no longer want to carry.

3. Ground into the Body

Capricorn is an earth sign—use this time to connect with your physical body through gentle movement, nature walks, or nourishing food. When you're grounded, you're more able to discern what's true for you.

4. Moon Bathing & Meditation

Spend time under the moonlight reflecting on how you’ve grown and matured in the last 6–12 months. Ask the moon to help you release pressure and root into clarity.

5. Visualize Your Inner Leader

Imagine your Highest Self—calm, clear, confident. Ask: how would she lead your life from here forward? What would she say no to? What would she prioritize?

This Full Moon in Capricorn is less about chasing the summit and more about checking your compass. Are you climbing the right mountain—or one someone else told you to scale? Saturn retrograde in Aries whispers: you already have what it takes. But it must come from within, not from approval, control, or status.

Let this lunation be a sacred checkpoint. One where you turn inward, reclaim your voice, and redefine success on your own damn terms.

You are the authority. You are the mountain. You are the way.
